Hit & skip victim's family seeking cash in suit

CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - The family of a Kentucky man who was killed in a hit and skip accident is filing a wrongful death suit against the man who hit him.

In the early morning hours of May 29, 2011, Matthew Deemer, 41, of Clermont County, was walking along the right edge of westbound SR 28 near the post office, when he was struck from behind.

Troopers say the driver, later discovered to be Jason Rhein, then fled the scene. Deemer was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kentucky Attorney Eric Deters is representing Deemer's family in the wrongful death suit.
