NKU hosts Relay for Life

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, KY (FOX19) - Students, faculty and staff at Northern Kentucky University took step towards fighting cancer on Friday.

Relay for Life kicked off in the lawn in front of Griffin Hall. The objective of Reality for Life is to have one member of each team walking until the walk wraps up. The walk ends on Saturday morning at 6 a.m.

The race started back in 1985. It has grown from one man walking around a track for 24 hours to an international event held in 20 countries. More than 4 million people are involved each year.
