Habitat for Humanity begins restoration for Westwood family

WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Habitat for Humanity began restoration for a Westwood family on Saturday.

Brandi Lucas and her 4-year-old son, Mason, will be rehabbing and purchasing the two-bedroom home. They must also invest 500 hours in the project.

"It is not exactly blue skies and rainbows out here but it never stops. Habitat for Humanity volunteers are coming out and showing their community and their neighbors in need how important they are," said Marissa Woodly, Development Director for Habitat for Humanity.

The commencement on Saturday morning marked the first of 11 rehab projects for construction this year as part of a partnership between Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity and Cincinnati Habitat Young Professionals.
