Multiple car crash blocks northbound I-71

SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (FOX19) – -

On Friday, a minor injury crash caused a backup on 71 around 10:00 p.m.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, reports that 20-year-old Alyssa Engeseth failed to keep enough distance when she was heading northbound on 71.

According to a press release, she struck a vehicle in front of her and caused that vehicle to rear end another vehicle. She then swerved into the center lane and was rear ended. Spinning counter clockwise, she caused another vehicle that was driving in the left lane to hit her on the driver's side door. Both vehicles ended up hitting a concrete barrier before coming to a final rest.

Northbound 71 was closed for a sometime due to this crash.

Police say that all of the drivers had on seat belts, and only minor injuries were reported.

Engeseth was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in this crash.

    The Kushner Cos. is confirming it was subpoenaed by federal prosecutors for information related to an Associated Press report that the company filed dozens of false documents about its buildings in New York City.
