CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The "American Queen" will be making a stop in Cincinnati in May during her maiden season.
The steamboat will bring 436 guests and 172 crew members to the Ohio River on Friday, May 4, 2012.
Her first cruise took off Monday from Natchez Mississippi and will make stops in Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky before ending in Cincinnati.
The public is encouraged to welcome the steamboat and her guests along the river.
The maiden cruise is already sold-out.
But, more trips on the American Queen will leave and arrive in Cincinnati throughout the summer.
"While many travelers are familiar with ocean cruising or river cruising in Europe, we believe steam boating on the great rivers of America is distinctive and tantalizingly different," explains Great American Steamboat Company President Christopher Kyte.
