Homeschool Convention kicks off workshop and lectures

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Homeschoolers gathered at the Duke Energy Center on Monday for the kick off of the Midwest Homeschool Convention.

More than 3,000 homeschooling families, supporters and leaders will attend the event, which runs through April 23.

"The opportunity to consistently provide invaluable experiences for our attendees allows us to attract speakers like Governor Mike Huckabee and offer a wide range of workshops, lectures and activities, and Cincinnati USA offers the ideal backdrop to complete an engaging, meaningful attendee experience," said Midwest Homeschool Convention Executive Director Mary Jo Dean.

The event is open to the public with admission starting at $40.
