FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -

Fairfield Police now say that an autopsy reveals that 15-year-old Chelsea Johnson was stabbed to death.

Johnson, a freshman at Fairfield Options Academy, left her home on Sunday afternoon and was reported missing by her mother on Monday morning.

Police say Johnson's body was found in the woods behind an apartment complex on Brookfield Drive Monday night.

It is very close to the apartment where Katelyn Markham was last seen. {See a map}

Johnson's death is being treated as a homicide.

Johnson's grandfather, Phil, tells FOX19 that Chelsea was a typical teenage girl.  He says the family is in shock over their very sudden loss.

Officers say Johnson lived in an apartment complex on Southgate, a few miles away from where her body was found.

At this time, police are releasing few additional details but we are working to gather more information.  We will keep you updated.
