Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop across East Texas as a cold front moves into the area.
A few of these storms have already been severe with quarter to golfball size hail reported in a few areas earlier this morning. As the cold front approaches the area later this morning more showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop. With the cold temperatures aloft, the stronger storms could easily produce hail up to the size of dimes and gusty winds 40 to 50 miles per hour.
At this time wide spread severe weather does not appear likely across East Texas but we will continue to monitor any storm that develops and keep you updated through Facebook and KLTV.com if storms intensify.
