BLANCHESTER, OH (FOX19) - On Saturday, what started as a routine police call, ended with a meth lab discovery.
Around noon police responded to the 100 block of Broadway in Blanchester, after Elizabeth Nichols, landlord of the building called 9-1-1 and hung up.
An officer arrived on the scene and found Nichols and another woman arguing at an apartment. The unidentified woman was visiting 55- year- old Perry Hollon.
During the course of the investigation, the officer noticed that there were components of a meth lab inside of the residence.
The Ohio Attorney General's of Criminal Investigation and the Blanchester-Marion Township Fire Department was called for assistance.
The fire department remained on the scene to ensure that none of the components exploded.
Hollon was charged with illegal assembly of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs.
He is being held in the Clinton County Jail. He will be appearing in court on Monday.
