A police officer lost control and flipped his cruiser upside down in a creek on Sunday night.
Ptl. Justin Porterfield, 30, was pursuing a felon in a car chase in Blanchester when he lost control of the cruiser.
The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and will decide if Porterfield will be cited with any traffic offense. Authorities say the police cruiser appears to be a total loss. Porterfield was talking and standing after the crash, but was taken to Clinton Memorial Hospital for examination as a precautionary measure.
The suspect was caught by Goshen Township Police in Harlan Township shortly after the accident.
