For some time the U.S. has been scheduled to draw down troops in Afghanistan by the year 2014.
Most Americans have come to believe that means U.S. involvement in the country will be over at that time.
But not so according to a new agreement reached by the U.S. and Afghani governments.
In fact, according to that agreement, the U.S. will remain in Afghanistan at least 10 years after the war is supposed to be over.
