UPDATE: Name released in Clermont road rage crash

CLERMONT COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A Williamburg man is hospitalized after a road rage incident.

It happened Thursday morning on WB 32 at Old S. R. 74, near the Batavia Township line.

Union Township Police say William Metzger, 51, was heading west on Highway 32 in Clermont County when he stopped his vehicle and got out to confront a driver at Old S. R. 74.

The driver Metzger was attempting to confront drove off but police say a third driver hit him as he was walking.

Police say Metzger was seriously injured.

Westbound 32 was closed for a few hours; it reopened around 8:00.

Police say Metzger will face charges of impeding traffic and being a pedestrian in the roadway.

He is in stable condition.
