A teacher and a staff member who is not a teacher or administrator have lost their jobs at Mason High School.
In a statement, the district says the pair were placed on paid administrative leave. The school says this is not a law enforcement issue, and does not involve inappropriate action with students.
The district says both employees have submitted letters of resignation.
In the statement, the district said "As a course of practice, the Mason City School District always reports violations of Ohio's ethical standards to the Ohio Department of Education", but spokesperson Tracey Carson wouldn't confirm or otherwise comment on any ethics violations in this case. The school district is not releasing the names of the employees.
