Miami remains Ohio's most expensive public college

Miami University will remain the most expensive public college in Ohio.

The school's trustees approved new tuition and fees for next year, raising tuition for undergraduates from Ohio by $442 to just over $13,000 for the year.

Undergraduates from other states will pay $28,000.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Miami officials point to a survey by Smart Money magazine that ranks Miami No. 9 in the nation for return on a student's tuition investment.

The school in Oxford also says it has an average time to graduation of fewer than four years.
