UPDATE: Officials tell KLTV that the accident has been cleared. Five people were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Mount Pleasant fire officials confirm with KLTV that crews are on the scene of a two vehicle accident on I-30 in Mount Pleasant.
The accident happened just before 6pm Sunday evening on interstate 30 near the 162 mile marker. Officials tell us that at least five people have received injuries in this accident, but the severity of their injuries is unknown.
