Norwood student wins invention contest

NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - A sixth grader wins top prize at an inventor's contest.

Evan Horsley, a 6th grader at Williams Elementary in Norwood, received first place in the Shearer's Food Inc. Young Inventors contest.

The challenge was to create an original invention from a potato chips bag.

Evan received a $5,000 savings bond and the possibility that the company will manufacturer his invention nationally.

Evan made bowl that can hold chips and a drink.
