Fairfield Fire chief decision could come down

The decision about the future of Fairfield Fire Chief could happen Tuesday.

David Downie has been chief for 25 years and is accused of what is being called inappropriate communication with other township employees in January.

The township has been hearing testimony for the past couple weeks. Downie has many supporters saying the township is wasting the tax payers' money. Others believe he should lose his job.

The trustees will decide Downie's fate which could mean termination.
