The little girl shot by her father at the Brooklyn Cracker Barrel last month was baptized on Monday.
10-year-old Kayla Allen was baptized by Pastor Dave at Metro. He is the same Pastor who performed the memorial service for Kayla's mother and sister.
Kevin Allen shot and killed his wife, Katherina, and 10-year old daughter, Kerri, on April 12. It was Kerri's 10th birthday. Allen also shot daughter Kayla. He was later killed by police after refusing to drop his weapon.
Little Kayla continues to fight for her life, and is currently listed in critical condition.
Family members say her breathing has improved, and add that doctors will take her off the ventilator as she grows stronger. The neurologist told the family he continues to see small improvements in Kayla everyday.
