A woman whose 3-year-old son crawled from her apartment and drowned in a swimming pool as she was sleeping has been charged with child endangering. Authorities in Clermont County said 22-year-old Tiffany Brewster had also allowed her son, Austin, to crawl away from their apartment two days before his death Tuesday. Union Township police said the child was found on Sunday at a gasoline station and was returned without police being notified. Police charged the mother yesterday with felony child endangering for the incident that led to the child's death. Police also charged her with misdemeanor child endangering for having allowed him to crawl 50 yards to the gas station on Sunday, when he was returned unharmed. The mother was released on bond pending a preliminary hearing May 14th in Clermont County Municipal Court in Batavia.
