TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Mercy spokesperson has confirmed a Lifestar ambulance was taken from the emergency room parking lot at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center just before 7 p.m.
Hospital security contacted Toledo police, and officers were able to stop the ambulance just as it had gotten onto I-75 at Phillips Road.
There is no word if damage was done to ambulance, or who took it.
The spokesperson did say there were no narcotics in the vehicle. The ambulance has been returned, and the Toledo Police Department is investigating.
