Good morning!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! With the Kentucky Derby, Flying Pig Marathon, Cincinnati Reds and Cinci de Mayo, it was definitely a busy two days here in the tri-state!

While we were blessed with beautiful weather this weekend, unfortunately it looks like it's coming to an end. Meteorologist Katy Morgan is telling me that we can expect severe weather today with strong winds and hail. Heavy rains will also become an issue. Be sure to tune into the morning shows for current weather conditions and the FOX19 7-day forecast.

As always, Stephanie Woods is working hard to keep you up-to-date on your current traffic conditions. You can tune in from 4:30-9 AM for updates every 15 minutes, or check out Traffic Tracker online.

All of us here at FOX19 want to extend a huge congratulations to everyone who participated in the Flying Pig Marathon on Saturday! Sergio Reys from California and Rachel Bay of Cincinnati took the gold for the men and women's runs. We also want to give a shout-out to our very own Kat Hilbert and Tom McCullough for running in the marathon! Awesome job, guys!

Moving onto National news, it was a sad weekend for Beastie Boys fans as rapper Adam Yauch passed away at 47. Yauch, known as MCA, died in New York after battling cancer for almost three years.

Following the 138th Kentucky Derby, a homicide investigation is underway after a body was found at Churchill Downs. 48-year-old Adan Fabian Perez was found dead in a barn around 5 AM on Sunday morning.

It's been almost nine years since Ben Roethlisberger left Miami University, but this weekend, he graduated. The two-time Superbowl champ received his Bachelor's Degree in education amongst 600 other students.

Now that you're caught up on the news making headlines, I hope that you have a great start to your work week!
