It's been two and a half weeks since the convoy carrying local soldier Matt Maupin was attacked in Iraq.
Maupin is believed to be in the custody of Insurgents. Monday night in Brown County, the community turned out to support Maupin and our troops in Iraq. The 20-year old Batavia soldier's mother, Carolyn Maupin, made a rare public appearance.
"Keith and I are here tonight because we believe it is extremely important that we continue to support all men and women serving our country here and abroad. They are our heros and may god bless them and return them home safely," Maupin.
