A woman dies in a Boone County car crash.
Jessica Childs, 20, was driving a 1994 Ford Explorer westbound on Hathaway Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the road.
Preliminary indications are that she overcorrected, causing her to then go off the left side the road.
The Explorer went over a slight embankment in a sideways slide and collided with a tree. Childs was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the collision.
