A teen-age neighbor says a 12-year-old boy accused of strangling an eight-year-old girl in Georgia offered to help look for her. The body of third-grader Amy Yates was found just hours after she left her home in a mobile home park Monday to visit a friend. A 15-year-old neighbor says the boy came up to him Monday night and asked whether Yates' mother needed help in looking for the girl. Police say early autopsy results show the suspect used his hands to strangle the girl. Carroll County sheriff's officials won't say what led investigators to arrest the suspect yesterday.
