Baltimore (FOX19/AP) -

Former Reds outfield Josh Hamilton has joined rather exclusive company with his power display Tuesday night in Baltimore.

The Texas Rangers outfielder is the 16th player in major league history to homer four times in a game, and the first since Carlos Delgado with Toronto in 2003. Hamilton also set an American League record with 18 total bases as the Rangers destroyed Baltimore 10-3.

Hamilton belted two-run blasts in the first, third and seventh innings before his solo shot in the eighth made him the sixth American Leaguer to have a four-homer game. He also doubled in the fifth and finished with a career-high eight RBI.

Hamilton is batting .406 with league-highs of 14 home runs and 36 RBI.

The Reds traded Hamilton to the Rangers December 2007 for right-handed pitcher Edinson Volquez. Volquez was traded to the Padres in the off-season as part of the deal which brought right handed pitcher Mat Lotos to the Reds.
