MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - A 14-year-old was hit by a car Tuesday night in Middletown.
Around 11 p.m., the Middletown Police and Middletown Fire Depts. responded to the 2400 block of Oxford State Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a car.
Witnesses say that the teen was staggering in the middle of the street when a westbound vehicle swerved to miss him.
The driver of that vehicle reported that the victim then walked into the eastbound lane and was immediately struck by a compact station wagon.
Officials are reporting that they smelled alcohol on the victim.
THe victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby location where he was then flown to Miami Valley Regional Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the station wagon is not expected to be charged.
