Some layoffs may be coming from a Cincinnati-based business.
Cincinnati Bell announced on Wednesday their plan to expand their relationship with call center provider, Startek.
That move could cost up to 150 local jobs. Some of them will be from the Norwood call center but Cincinnati Bell says the center will stay open.
A spokesperson for Cincinnati Bell tells FOX19 they will be in discussion with union leaders for up to 60 days.
Some of the eliminated positions will be salaried but most will be union.
According to a release, this move was made to compensate for reduced revenue on the home phone side of things.
