A Butler County jury resumes deliberations in Hamilton this morning over whether to recommend the death sentence for a man convicted of killing his former girlfriend. The jury deliberated about five hours yesterday before being sequestered at a local hotel overnight. Anthony Mason took the witness stand yesterday to beg for his life. The jurors also heard tearful testimony from five of his children, his mother, his siblings, his ex-wife and even his attorney as one by one, they asked the jury to not impose a death sentence. The 44-year-old Mason -- of Covington, Kentucky -- was convicted on Monday of killing 27-year-old Angela Turley and assaulting her mother, Janie Turley. Police said the women were attacked on May 13th during an argument at a Hamilton apartment the mother and daughter shared.
