WORTHINGTON, MA (WSHM) -
Fire officials are uncovering new details on a house fire in Worthington and have ruled it an arson.
The two-alarm fire broke out at 24 Old Post Road on Monday evening.
Officials say most likely gasoline was used to start it.
The house was for up sale and had been empty for some time.
A neighbor told CBS 3 he saw two men in a pickup truck acting suspicious.
Now police are on the hunt to find them.
"There was a black pickup truck that came from down the road and pulled up in front of the house, looked at it, went down the road a little bit, turned around and pulled back up in front of the house," said William Cooper. "A guy in a white shirt gets out, goes upstairs; the other guy is standing outside the truck staring me down like 'get away.'"
Officials told CBS 3 they are questioning the owner and his business partner, who are known for buying and flipping homes in the area.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
