Investigating the Cause of a HugeFire in Lockland

The old Stearns and Foster building continues to smolder this afternoon in Lockland.  Yesterday as Firefighters tried to put out the fire they noticed somehting suspicious, fires buring in other parts of the facility.    The ATF and the Hamilton County Arson Task Force are now looking into the cause of the fire that tied up over 27 local fire departments and shut down two lanes of 75 northbound for many hours.   Flames inside the building fed off oil soaked wood floors and the debris still left inside the old mattress factory.  A dangerous situation for firefighters and the community.  Eight firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion.  The eastern part the factory caught fire about 9am saturday.  Construction on the two three story buildings seperated by shepard avenue started in 1840.  It sold at auction a few months ago for $350,000.
