Highway dedicated to fallen soldier

A local stretch of highway is named after a local soldier killed in Iraq.

Sergeant First Class Jason Bishop of Williamstown was killed on New Year's Day in 2006. He left behind a 7-month-old son and a 9-year-old daughter.

More than 6 years later, state and local officials honored with a memorial highway along US 25 Dry Ridge Bypass in Grant County. Bishop Memorial Highway will be from the intersection of Kentucky 22 to the intersection of the Dry Ridge Bypass.
