UPDATE: Teen dies after crash with Metro bus

MT. AIRY, OH (FOX19) -

A teenager is dead after a chain reaction crash with a Metro bus Sunday night.

The Cincinnati Traffic Division tells FOX19 that Charnisha Hardy, 18, was heading eastbound on West North Bend Road when she hit a car that was stopped in traffic.

That car then crossed the center line and was hit by a Metro bus that was heading west.

The bus then hit a utility pole and a tree near an apartment complex.

Hardy was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she died due to crash related injuries.

At least eight people were injured but they were treated at the hospital and released.

At this time, it is unknown if Hardy was wearing a seatbelt. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factors in this fatal crash.
