Juvenile arrested in connection to a vehicular homicide

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones is reporting that a juvenile driver involved in an early May crash has been arrested.

The May 2nd crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. on State Route 177.

Donald Herbst, age 25, was driving southbound on State Route 177 and collided with a motorcycle.

Herbst was transported to University Hospital by medical helicopter, he died that evening from crash related injuries.

On Monday, a 17-year-old was arrested by Sheriffs Deputies in connection to the May 2nd accident.

That juvenile was charged with Delinquency by Reason of Vehicular Homicide, Failure to Yield from a stop sign and Driving under Suspension.

Both of his parents have been charged with Wrongful Entrustment of a Motor Vehicle, and were issued citations .

That 17-year-old was taken to the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.
