CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati City Council member Charlie Winburn wants to use the new casino revenue to offset the budget deficit.
He predicts a 2013 city budget deficit of approximately $15-25 million.
"I hope that my predictions for the 2013 budget deficit numbers are wrong and possibly lower than projected," said Council member Winburn.
Winburn says he wants to use the anticipated 2013 $14 million in Annual Casino Revenue to offset his predicted budget deficit.
"If the city was not facing 2013 budget deficit and thereafter my recommendations would be that the anticipated $14 million in casino revenue coming to the city be used as leverage to promote economic development, attract new business with view toward job creation and expanding our city tax base," said Winburn.
