SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) - Click It or Ticket kicks off on May 21 to save lives by cracking down on seat belt enforcement.
The Springdale Police Department is joining other state and law enforcement to help get motorists to buckle up.
"Too many drivers and passengers on the road at night are not wearing their seat belts, and it all too often ends in tragedy," said Community Service Officer Joe Ture. "Our goal is to save more lives, so the Springdale Police Department will be out enforcing seat belt laws around the clock.
National Click It or Ticket enforcement runs from May 21 through June 3, although police are enforcing seat belt laws throughout the year.
"Those who choose not to wear a seat belt will feel the heat from our officers who will be out cracking down on Click It or Ticket violators. Motorist should buckle up every time they go out, both day and night," said Officer Ture.
