The stench of decay led authorities to a suburban Milwaukee apartment -- where about 200 animals have been housed. They were cared for by a woman who fed them roadkill. The animals include alligators, scorpions and carnivorous beetles. Many were alive. But many other animals were not. Authorities say carcasses were in a freezer and decaying raccoons, rabbits, opossums and squirrels were in an adjacent garage. Among the other live animals found were 70 ducks, along with snakes, rats, turtles and toads. The apartment resident has been given citations for possessing game animals out of season. Authorities say she planned to sell the animals to pet stores. The animals were apparently sold to the woman via the Internet.
