CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
A Spanish language newspaper in Florida is reporting Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman is being sued for $18 million.
The civil suit, filed by a family in Miami, alleges Chapman and his father are responsible for the imprisonment and torture of a Cuban American man, later tortured by the Cuban government. This was done so Chapman could get back on the Cuban National Team after his first defection attempt failed.
The Reds signed Chapman to a $30 million contract in 2010.
