Votto, Bailey Push Reds Past Yanks

Cincinnati, OH (FOX19) - Homer Bailey pitched into the seventh inning and helped the Reds to a 6-5 win over the Yankees.  Joey Votto hit a three run homer in the 5th, his seventh of the season, to give the Reds a split of the first two games at Yankee Stadium.

Leading 6-3 in the ninth, Reds closer Sean Marshall gave up four hits and two runs.  He was replaced by Jose Arredondo who got Derek Jeter and Curtis Granderson to ground out with two men on.  It was Arredondo's first career save.

The series wraps up on Sunday with Reds ace Johnny Cueto pitching against CC Sabathia.
