Northern Kentucky students build underwater vehicles

Some Northern Kentucky Cadets at Success Academy put their skills to the test on Monday.

The military academy students participated in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet sea perch program.

Sea perch is an innovative underwater robotics program. The cadets then use their skills to build an underwater remotely operated vehicle.

Students build the underwater vehicles from a low cost kit. They follow a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme.
