Party in the Park adds zipline

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

After a successful first week of the 2012 Party in the Park season, a new element of high-flying adventure is being introduced this week.

For the first time in the history of Party in the Park, a zipline will be available to guests.

The zipline will run from the east concession stand (near the Purple People Bridge) to roughly the center of the lawn at Yeatman's Cove. The zipline is 320 feet long and 26 feet high. The cost for a Party in the Park guest is $10.

Party in the Park brings some weekend to your Wednesday at Yeatman's Cove with live music, cold beer and 8,000 of your best friends --- all set against the scenery of the Ohio River. CORE will provide the entertainment.

The region's biggest cover bands will bring the fun each week through July 25. A variety of Anheuser-Busch beers will be available and, for the first time, wine and cocktails will be on hand as well. Happy hour (and a half) is from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The Pizza Bomba food truck will have a variety of pies on hand. Party in the Park is presented by Bud Light and 96 Rock. Admission is free.
