A Westwood man is convicted of murdering his girlfriend's baby.

Back in May of 2011, the Cincinnati Fire Department responded to a home on Sarvis Court to investigate reports of a non-responsive child. The child was pronounced dead on the scene.

The child's mother was Lionell Dangerfield's girlfriend.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office ruled that the child died of blunt force trauma.

Police say Dangerfield was babysitting while the child's mother, Chania Binford, was out.

When she returned home, the baby appeared to be asleep, but when she checked on the child the next morning, the baby was dead.

Dangerfield will face 15 to life in prison.
