The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced that beginning Friday, May 25, several ramps will be closed as part of the Revive the Drive - NKY project.
7 PM: traffic will be down to one lane from just north of the US 27 interchange across the Daniel Carter Beard Bridge to the Ohio State line. Lanes will re-open on Sunday, May 27, at 6 AM.
8 PM: I-471 NB exit ramp (Exit 1B) to I-275 WB will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to continue on I-471 NB to US 27 (Exit 2) and back onto I-471 SB to I-275 WB.
- Other suggested alternative routes: KY 9 (AA Highway) to I-275 WB
This ramp will re-open on Monday, June 4, at 6 AM.
8 PM: I-471 NB exit ramp to KY 8 (Exit 5) will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to use Exit 4 to west on KY 1120 (Memorial Parkway) to north on US 27 (Monmouth St) to KY 8. This ramp will reopen on Monday, June 18th, at 6 AM.
8 PM: KY 8 entrance ramp to I-471 NB will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to I-471 SB to Exit 4 (Memorial Parkway) and back onto I-471 NB. This ramp will re-open on Monday, June 18, at 6 AM.
Keep in mind that traffic on I-471 NB is currently restricted to two lanes and is in a shifted position with both shoulders closed.
Throughout the duration of this project, traffic may be reduced to a single lane during the night time periods between 10 PM-5 AM.
