Man beaten at Florence laundromat for $15

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - A savage beating at a Florence laundromat was caught on tape.

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, the victim was alone and inside the Turfway Laundromat.

Police say suspects entered the Laundromat while the third suspect waited at the doors and acted as a lookout.

Then one of the suspects punched the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground.  Both suspects then began beating the victim while he was on the ground.

After beating the victim, the suspects took $15 cash from the victim's pocket and fled the area.

Upon police arrival at the scene, a Florence Police K9 was used to track the suspects.

The K9 led officers to 7243 Crown Court, apartment #11.  Attempts were made to contact the occupants of this apartment, but all attempts went unanswered.

Florence detectives applied for and obtained a search warrant for this apartment.

When officers executed the search warrant the three suspects were found inside the apartment and taken into custody.

The suspects are identified as:

Abdirashid Mohamud – 22 year old resident alien from Somalia.
Muhsin Ashur – 21 year old resident alien from Somalia
Abdifatah Abjullahi – 18 year old naturalized citizen from Kenya

All three subjects have been charged with Robbery 1st degree, class B felony, and transported to the Boone County Jail.
