NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) - It's going to be a hot this Memorial Day, and a new sprayground has just opened in time for the weekend.
The Cincinnati Recreation Commission cut the ribbon on its new $1.3 million sprayground in North Fairmount on Friday.
"Spraygrounds" are play areas designed for kids to have fun and cool off in the summer heat, with equipment that sprays, sprinkles and drops water.
Along with the water area, there are also two new half-court basketball courts and a picnic shelter.
All of CRC's six spraygrounds will officially open for the holiday weekend.
CRC pools will open Monday, June 4th.
