CINCINNATI (FOX19)—Collin Flessner remembers the final point of St. Xavier's volleyball state semifinal match last year. "I've been doing nothing but reflecting on that point, and how we lost to St. Eds and how bad it hurt," the St. Xavier senior said.

Lakewood St. Edward went on to beat St. X's GCL South rival Moeller in the state title match last year.

Moeller's Matt Kanetzke remembers being in a somber Moeller locker room after the state title match loss. "It's definitely a little chip on my shoulder," he said.

The Crusaders haven't lost a match to a team in Ohio this year, and they finished the season ranked first in the state volleyball coaches poll, run by OhioBoysVolleyball.com.

Moeller is also hosting this year's state volleyball tournament. Matches kick off at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Roger Bacon plays in the Division 2 semifinals at approximately 11:45 a.m. Lakota West follows around 1 p.m. Moeller takes the court at 3:15 p.m. and St. Xavier plays at 5 p.m.
