INDEPENDENCE, KY (FOX19) - On Saturday, sheriffs in Boone County began investigating a deadly car accident.
Police say that a three vehicle collision at the intersection on U.S. 42 and Rice Pike claimed the life of a motorcyclist and sent two others to the hospital.
Bone County Sheriffs say 16-year-old driver,of Union, Kentucky was making a left turn from Rice Pike onto U.S-42, when he ran into the drivers side of a northbound Toyota Camry being operated by Kerissa Carter, 19 of Moores Hill, Indiana and occupied by Breyton Bolton of Union, Kentucky.
The impact caused the Camry to skid sideward into the southbound lane directly in the path of the motorcyclist, an unknown 47 year-old-man from Middletown, Ohio. The motorcycle collided with the right front corner of the Camry.
At this time, this accident is still under investigation.
