UNION, KY (FOX19) – - A crash Saturday morning that began with a 16-year-old driving into another teen's car ended up taking the life of 47-year-old Keith Tipton of Middletown.
On Saturday, May 26, 2012 around 9 a.m., a 16-year-old from Union, Kentucky was making a left turn from a stop-sign on Rice Pike onto U.S-42 in a Jeep Liberty when he ran into the driver's side of a northbound Toyota Camry being operated by Kerissa Carter, 19 of Moores Hill, Indiana and occupied by Breyton Bolton of Union.
The impact caused the Camry to skid sideward into the southbound lane directly in the path of the motorcyclist, Keith Tipton. The motorcycle collided with the right front corner of the Camry.
The teen driving the Jeep was uninjured. Carter and Bolton were transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, Kentucky with reported non life-threatening injuries. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The highway was completely shut down until 11:28 a.m.
