Museum Renovation

Cincinnati's Taft Museum of Art nears reopening

People with deep pockets who planned ahead can see the renovated Taft Museum of Art tonight. Most will have to wait until Saturday. A nearly 23 million dollar project at the Cincinnati museum is complete, and 420 people are expected for a gala this evening. Tickets, at 500 dollars each, sold out weeks ago. Museum members get their sneak peak tomorrow. The public reopening is set for this weekend, with free admission Saturday and Sunday. The museum overlooking the Ohio River has been closed since November 2001 for the makeover that doubled its size to 40-thousand-square feet.
