Good FRIDAY morning!

Hopefully none of the storms that rolled through last night woke you up so you're well rested for the end of your work week and the start of your weekend!

Meteorologist Katy Morgan is saying that the showers will be hanging around this morning, making for a soggy morning commute. We can expect the rain to taper off, but the clouds will hang on for the day, keeping temperature in the low to mid 60s.

Tune-in all morning long for Katy and Frank's current weather conditions and your seven-day forecast.

Last night seemed to be one big traffic nightmare in the tri-state, but we're crossing our fingers that this isn't the case for today. Stephanie Woods will be keeping an eye on your roadways to make sure you get to where you need to be safe and on time. Tune-in from 4:30-9 AM for her up-to-date Traffic Tracker reports.

Why not start your morning off with a donut for a good cause? Dan Wells will be live this morning at Fountain Square to tell you how you can get free donuts to benefit the Salvation Army. Be sure to check out Dan's report on America's favorite treat starting at 4:30 AM.

FOX19 is learning more this morning about the death of a Fairfield Marine who died while serving in Afghanistan. Corporal Nicholas Olivias, 20, was killed when insurgents attacked his unit with an IED. Olivias' family is on their way to the Dover Air Force Base, where his body is expected to arrive within the next few days. Tracey and Rob will have more on this heartbreaking story all morning long.

You've heard time and time again about the Ohio texting ban but seriously, PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN! The statewide texting ban will go into effect TODAY, which means anyone 18 and under will be prohibited from using any sort of electronic device behind the wheel and it will be a secondary offense for adults caught texting while driving.

Ohio drivers, I'll leave you alone now. Kentucky drivers, it's your turn! During the month of June, Kentucky drivers who have been without car insurance for more than 60 days will be receiving notices to get coverage or face the consequences. If a notice is sent to you, you will have 30 days to obtain and present proof of insurance or your car registration will be canceled. Brad Underwood will have more on KY's insurance enforcement plan starting at 5 AM.

Attention all music fans: after closing its doors in November, the Southgate House in Newport will be reopening tonight but under a different name. The newly named Thompson House will be holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7 PM followed by jazz and heavy metal bands along with an art show as your weekend lineup.

If you're still looking for something to do after you pay the Thompson House a visit, we have two ladies in the house with some great ideas! Laura Hoevener and Terri Weeks from Adventures around Cincinnati will be on-air with local events and places for some weekend fun at 9:25!

Well that's all I've got for this morning, but you can hear these headline stories and much more on the FOX19 Morning News!

I hope you have a safe and fun weekend and I'll talk to you on Monday! :)
