Fugitive from Kentucky arrested in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (FOX19) - A fugitive who escaped from prison Kentucky has been arrested in Myrtle Beach.

Larry Rowland Jr., 38, of Cincinnati, was on Kentucky State Police's most wanted list after escaping from a state prison. His last known location was Newport, Ky.

Rowland was arrested early Friday morning and charged with fugitive from justice.

Myrtle Beach Police received a tip that Rowland was in the area. They responded to a hotel and found Rowland's girlfriend, then followed her to another hotel, where he met with Rowland to get money and an ID card that was in her possession.

Three other suspects, including Rowland's girlfriend, were arrested for hindering officers or rescuing prisoners.
